Job Description

A successful Project Manager - Public Works Construction | Manhattan, NY:

      • Manage all phases of public-sector construction projects from award through closeout.
      • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement logs, and cost forecasts.
      • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, agency representatives, and field personnel.
      • Administer RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and contract documentation.
      • Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication with owners and stakeholders.
      • Ensure compliance with agency requirements, building codes, safety regulations, and contract specifications.
      • Monitor project costs, identify risks, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager - Public Works Construction | Manhattan, NY:

      • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in public works construction.
      • Experience managing projects for agencies such as DDC, SCA, NYCHA, DASNY, MTA, DOT, DEP, or Port Authority.
      • Strong understanding of public bid procedures, government contracts, and prevailing wage projects.
      • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, schedules, and project budgets simultaneously.
      • Proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
      • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-management skills.
