About Our Client

The Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle execution of transmission and substation projects, including engineering coordination, construction oversight, scheduling, budgeting, safety compliance, contractor management, and client communication. This role requires strong knowledge of high-voltage transmission construction practices, utility safety standards, outage coordination, and EPC project execution.

Job Description

  • Manage transmission and substation projects ranging from 69kV-500kV from kickoff through energization
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and resource planning
  • Lead construction execution activities, contractor coordination, and field operations
  • Promote and enforce strong safety culture, OSHA compliance, and utility safety standards across all project phases
  • Conduct project safety reviews, field audits, and risk mitigation planning
  • Coordinate outage planning, constructability reviews, and construction sequencing activities
  • Lead client meetings, project reporting, and stakeholder communication
  • Manage project financials, change orders, contracts, and overall project performance
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and utility teams throughout project execution
  • Support transmission line construction, substation expansion, and grid modernization initiatives

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager - Transmission Line Construction should have:

  • 5+ years of project management experience within transmission line, substation, or utility infrastructure projects
  • Strong transmission construction and field execution experience
  • Proven background managing safety programs, field safety compliance, and contractor safety performance
  • Experience managing high-voltage utility projects ranging from 69kV-500kV
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, utility safety standards, and construction best practices
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and client communication
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, or related scheduling tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
