We are seeking a Project Manager - Transmission to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of high-voltage transmission line projects. This individual will oversee project scope, schedule, budget, risk, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional coordination across engineering, construction, procurement, and field operations teams.

Job Description

  • Manage full lifecycle delivery of transmission line and power delivery projects from development through construction and commissioning.
  • Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Lead coordination between engineering, construction, environmental, permitting, procurement, and field teams.
  • Monitor project performance against scope, cost, schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide executive-level reporting on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Review and approve project changes, contract modifications, and budget adjustments.
  • Partner with clients, utilities, subcontractors, and internal leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Track labor utilization, contractor performance, and construction readiness activities.
  • Identify schedule impacts and proactively implement recovery plans where necessary.
  • Support project forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable utility standards, environmental requirements, and safety expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project execution processes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager - Transmission should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline preferred.
  • 5-12+ years of experience managing transmission, substation, utility, EPC, or power infrastructure projects.
  • Experience overseeing projects involving 69kV-765kV transmission systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong understanding of transmission project delivery phases including engineering, permitting, procurement, and construction.
  • Knowledge of project controls and scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with utility standards, contractor management, and construction execution.
  • PMP certification preferred but not required.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
