One of the country's top design build firms.Job DescriptionThe Project Site Engineer will serve as a technical liaison between the engineering team, contractors, client representatives, and other project stakeholders to help ensure design intent is successfully translated into field execution. This role is well suited for engineers coming from EPC, design-build, consulting engineering, or major construction environments who understand both the technical design process and the realities of executing complex projects in the field.Locations: Multiple project sites throughout Central, North Central, and West Texas, including the greater Waco, Abilene, Wichita Falls, and Lubbock areas.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide onsite engineering support throughout active data center constructionReview and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, design packages, and contract documentsReview and coordinate RFIs, technical submittals, and contractor questionsIdentify design conflicts, constructability concerns, field constraints, and potential engineering issuesEvaluate field conditions and work with design teams to develop practical technical solutionsSupport design modifications and field-driven engineering changes as requiredCoordinate between engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and client teamsParticipate in project coordination, construction progress, and client meetingsMonitor construction activities for alignment with engineering design intent and project requirementsAssist with technical evaluation of equipment, materials, and installation methodsSupport troubleshooting, startup, testing, commissioning, and project turnover activitiesTrack technical issues through resolution and communicate project impacts to the appropriate stakeholdersAssist with punch lists, documentation, project closeout, and turnover activitiesProvide recommendations that consider design intent, constructability, schedule, and field conditionsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred and may be required depending on the specific client or projectSignificant experience supporting engineering and/or construction of complex projectsEPC, design-build, engineering consulting, or construction-phase engineering experience strongly preferredExperience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, power infrastructure, industrial facilities, utilities, advanced manufacturing, or other large-scale technical projects preferredStrong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications while understanding the engineering intent behind the designExperience reviewing RFIs, submittals, design changes, and field conditionsStrong understanding of how engineering designs progress through procurement and into field constructionExperience coordinating with contractors, engineering disciplines, vendors, and client representativesFamiliarity with testing, commissioning, startup, or turnover activities is beneficialPE license or EIT certification preferred, but not required for all project locationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently, exercise sound technical judgment, and communicate effectively in an active construction environmentWillingness to work onsite and travel to project locations as requiredWhat's on OfferCompetitive hourly pay ranging from $75 to $105 per hour.Locations: project sites throughout Central, North Central, and West Texas, including the greater Waco, Abilene, Wichita Falls, and Lubbock areas.Access to medical, dental, and vision benefits.Opportunity to work in a key role within the energy and natural resources sector.Long-term contract opportunity with contract-to-hire intent after 6 months; based on performance and project needs.Overtime paid at 1.5x, with strong potential for additional hours during peak project phases.Opportunity to travel to project sites nationwide supporting major power delivery projects, with all travel expenses covered.Interested?
