Job Description

  • Lead and maintain an AS9100-compliant Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Act as the primary contact for internal, customer, and certification audits
  • Oversee inspection, testing, and release processes to ensure product conformity
  • Ensure First Article Inspections (FAI) are completed in accordance with AS9102 standards
  • Drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), including root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why)
  • Chair the Material Review Board (MRB) and manage nonconforming product disposition
  • Partner with procurement to audit and approve suppliers and ensure material compliance
  • Manage calibration systems for inspection and measurement equipment
  • Lead, mentor, and develop quality team members
  • Analyze and report KPIs and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metrics to leadership

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred
  • 5-10 years of manufacturing quality experience, including 3+ years in leadership
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 (Rev D), aerospace standards, and audit processes
  • Experience in fastener manufacturing, CNC machining, or similar environments
  • Proficiency in GD&T, SPC, and AS9102 First Article Inspections
  • Knowledge of material standards such as AMS and ASTM
  • Familiarity with QMS software, ERP systems, and calibration controls
  • Hands-on experience with inspection equipment including CMMs and optical systems
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CQM) highly preferred
