The Preconstruction Director will play a pivotal role in shaping project success and supporting continued expansion. As the company scales, the Preconstruction Director will help establish best practices and lead complex pursuits across diverse markets. This is an opportunity for the Preconstruction Director to influence both project execution and long-term growth strategy.Job DescriptionLead all phases of preconstruction from early opportunity through project handoffDevelop project budgets, schedules, and execution strategiesOversee conceptual, schematic, and GMP estimating processesBuild detailed cost models for complex MEP and infrastructure projectsPerform value engineering and optimize cost vs. performance outcomesPartner with business development on proposals, presentations, and pursuitsEvaluate project viability and deliver go/no-go recommendationsDevelop procurement strategies and manage subcontractor relationshipsLead bid processes, scope alignment, and contract negotiationsIdentify and mitigate risks related to cost, scope, schedule, and constructabilityCollaborate with engineering and operations teams for seamless project planningMentor and grow the preconstruction team and processesAct as a strategic advisor to executive leadership throughout project lifecycleMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
