Job Description

This role will see you take the reins on a $200-300M federal project spanning 12-14 buildings and over 1 million square feet. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, with a heavy emphasis on MEP and HVAC systems, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and seamless coordination across engineering, construction, and client-facing teams.

  • Lead the full project lifecycle of a large-scale federal retrofit with a focus on MEP and HVAC systems
  • Oversee technical execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades, including system integration and commissioning
  • Manage subcontractors and internal teams to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence
  • Serve as the primary liaison with federal clients, representing the company with professionalism and technical authority
  • Review and approve engineering submittals, shop drawings, and system specifications
  • Ensure compliance with federal safety standards and energy efficiency regulations
  • Collaborate closely with in-house engineers to troubleshoot complex system challenges
  • Drive project reporting, budgeting, and forecasting with a focus on risk mitigation and delivery excellence

The Successful Applicant

  • 10+ years of project management experience in construction, with a strong focus on MEP and HVAC systems
  • Proven track record managing large-scale federal or institutional retrofit projects
  • Deep technical knowledge of mechanical systems, controls, and energy efficiency strategies
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills
  • Familiarity with federal contracting requirements and safety protocols
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, LEED AP, OSHA 30) are highly desirable
