Job Description

  • Plan, budget, schedule, and execute multiple concurrent capital construction projects.
  • Support the Director of Construction in implementing the long‑term campus master plan.
  • Define project scope, goals, timelines, and procurement strategies from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Lead coordination with architects, engineers, consultants, ownership, and tenants.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, design teams, and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify risks, cost drivers, and constructability issues; implement mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Superintendents.
  • Manage subcontractor selection, contract negotiation, and performance.
  • Track project costs, schedules, RFIs, change orders, and work‑in‑place.
  • Prepare and present conceptual and detailed cost estimates with clear assumptions.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, OSHA standards, life‑safety requirements, and quality controls.
  • Lead jobsite safety, cleanliness, and professional standards across an active, occupied environment.
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices, monthly AIA billings, and payment applications.
  • Utilize Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam to manage documentation and schedules.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience managing large‑scale construction projects valued at $25M-$50M+.
  • Extensive background in commercial construction, renovations, or adaptive reuse.
  • Strong leadership experience managing multi‑disciplinary project teams.
  • Advanced proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
  • Deep understanding of building codes, life‑safety systems, and OSHA standards.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environments.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive‑level communication skills.
  • Hands‑on field experience with strong drawing and constructability review skills.
