We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, large-scale transmission line and substation projects across utility and EPC clients. This role operates at a PM III level, with full ownership of project delivery, client relationships, and financial performance.

With a strong presence across the U.S., they partner with major utilities and energy providers to deliver transmission line and substation projects that support grid modernization, reliability, and renewable integration.

Job Description

  • Lead large, complex T&D projects or programs (typically 69kV-500kV+)
  • Own full P&L responsibility, including budget, forecasting, and margin performance
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and/or project teams
  • Serve as primary client interface, building long-term relationships
  • Drive coordination across:
    • Transmission line engineering
    • Substation engineering
    • Procurement and construction teams
  • Oversee contract strategy, negotiations, and change management
  • Provide executive-level reporting to internal leadership and clients
  • Mentor and develop junior PMs and project engineers
  • Support business development, including proposals and client growth

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Project Manager III - Transmission & Substation should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in Transmission & Distribution (T&D)
  • Proven success managing both:
    • Transmission line projects
    • Substation projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale capital projects ($10M-$100M+)
  • Strong understanding of high-voltage systems (69kV-500kV+)
  • Experience with client management and contract execution
