The client is an Atlanta-based, employee owned general contractor with over 25 years established in the commercial market, specializing in construction management, design‑build, and general contracting for public sector clients. The firm has a strong track record delivering municipal facilities such as libraries, fire stations, and public safety buildings across Georgia and the broader Southeast.

Job Description

  • Lead all phases of project execution, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and closeout.
  • Manage day‑to‑day project operations and serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee project financials, including cost tracking, forecasting, and change management.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction teams to support estimating, constructability reviews, and value‑engineering efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and contract requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and support field teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners to encourage repeat business.
  • Mentor project engineers and assistant project managers to support team development.

The Successful Applicant

  • 8+ years experience in commercial construction working with a general contractor
  • Strong oral communication and written skills.
  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Science, Management, Engineering or related field
  • Proven success managing light industrial projects
  • Ability to successfully manage all aspects of the projects including schedules, budgets, and profitability through comprehensive project completion.
  • Experience in municipal construction is a must
