Senior Substation Physical Designer - Grid

• Lead physical design efforts for transmission and distribution substations ranging from 12kV to 500kV+.
• Develop general arrangement drawings, equipment layouts, grounding plans, conduit and cable trench layouts, and control building layouts.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, protection & controls, transmission line, and construction teams.
• Support equipment integration including transformers, breakers, disconnect switches, CTs, PTs, capacitor banks, and associated substation equipment.
• Prepare construction drawing packages, material takeoffs, and bill of materials.
• Ensure compliance with utility standards, NESC, IEEE, NEC, and client requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, and project coordination meetings.
• Provide technical guidance to junior designers and support construction through RFI responses and design clarifications.
