Known for technical excellence and a strong project pipeline, they partner with utilities, renewable energy developers, and industrial clients to design and deliver critical energy infrastructure that supports grid modernization and long-term reliability.Job DescriptionDevelop physical design packages for transmission and distribution substations ranging from 12kV through 500kV.Create site plans, equipment layouts, elevations, sections, grounding plans, conduit plans, and cable trench layouts.Produce detailed design drawings utilizing AutoCAD, MicroStation, AutoCAD Electrical, and/or Bentley Substation.Prepare and modify general arrangements, control building layouts, foundation plans, and steel structure drawings.Coordinate physical substation designs with protection and controls, civil, structural, and electrical engineering teams.Perform equipment spacing and clearance reviews in accordance with utility and industry standards.Support constructability reviews and resolve design conflicts throughout project execution.Conduct field visits and support site walkdowns as needed to verify existing conditions.Incorporate client standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements into design deliverables.Prepare construction-ready drawing packages and support project documentation efforts.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
