Job Description

  • Lead end-to-end payroll operations for 400+ employees across the U.S. and multiple international locations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing.
  • Partner with external payroll providers and internal stakeholders to manage domestic and global payroll activities, resolve issues, and maintain a positive employee experience.
  • Oversee payroll compliance, tax reporting, audits, reconciliations, and payroll-related accounting activities, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and international regulations.
  • Reconcile payroll data to the general ledger, analyze payroll liabilities, and develop reporting and analytics that support financial and operational decision-making.
  • Administer employee equity and stock compensation programs, including the payroll and tax treatment of grants, vesting events, and other equity transactions.
  • Maintain and improve payroll policies, procedures, controls, and documentation while ensuring data integrity across payroll and HR systems.
  • Support business growth initiatives, including payroll integration efforts related to acquisitions, organizational changes, and system implementations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance controls, leverage technology, and improve payroll accuracy and efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted resource to employees and leadership on payroll, tax, compliance, and equity compensation matters, providing guidance and recommendations as needed.

The Successful Applicant

  • 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including responsibility for both U.S. and international payrolls.
  • Experience with NAMELY a must!!
  • Strong understanding of multi-country payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with HRIS and payroll platforms, including payroll audits and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience administering equity compensation programs and related payroll tax requirements.
  • Proven ability to document, implement, and improve payroll processes and controls.
  • Experience creating complex reconciliations, reports, and financial analyses.
