The culture is collaborative and growth-focused, with strong investment in career development and the opportunity to work on nationally recognized, large-scale EPC-style projects.Job DescriptionIn the role of Substation Electrical EIT, we'll count on you to: Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations, engineering document review, drawing review and revision, provide field construction support and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications among other tasks.Preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports and designs for electrical substations (Low, Medium and High Voltage).Preparation of calculations, design sketches and redline drawings.Working with Designers and CADD Technicians to develop drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes and project specifications and requirements.Developing design deliverables including one-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA schemes, communications plans, substation physical layouts, material lists, conduit and cable sizing/routing, AC and DC systems calculations and sizing, and substation grounding.Conduct site visits during the design, construction and as-built phases of projects.Perform routine electrical engineering assignments using client and industry standards, with instruction from the Project Engineer or Project Manager regarding the expected results.Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects.Perform other duties as needed.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
