For over 50 years, our client has been the trusted partner organizations rely on to solve complex challenges and reimagine what's possible.Job DescriptionIn the role of Substation Electrical Engineer, we'll count on you to:Focus on physical design.Schematic and wiring designs, some protection & controls designAssign project tasks and provide technical guidance to junior team members on moderate to highly complex projects.Perform QC reviews for work performed by junior and mid-level engineers and/or designers.Work with senior engineers and technical leaders to identify and develop specific technical expertise and will attend training and seminars focused on further development and understanding of complex concepts related to their discipline.May assist with developing technical papers and/or presentations that showcase technical capabilities at industry conferences or other events.Will also be responsible for quality control reviews of projects from other teams on an as needed basis.Works independently and may direct, mentor, train, and/or supervise efforts of less-experienced EIT's and/or Designers.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantDue to client contract requirements, US-born citizenship is required.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.5+ years of substation design experience.Experience using standard industry design software requiredProficient with Microsoft Office.Strong written and verbal communication skills preferred.Previous consulting firm experience desired.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) licensePrevious experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.Computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software.
