With projects spanning high-voltage substations, grid modernization, and renewable interconnections, we provide employees with opportunities to work on impactful infrastructure projects throughout the region.Job DescriptionDesign and develop substations ranging from 12kV to 500kVPrepare substation physical layouts, one-line diagrams, grounding plans, and protection schematicsSupport AIS and GIS substation design projects for transmission and distribution systemsPerform equipment selection and sizing for:Power transformersCircuit breakersDisconnect switchesCTs/PTsBus systemsReactive compensation equipmentCoordinate protection & controls integration and SCADA systemsSupport relay settings coordination and commissioning activitiesPerform grounding, short-circuit, and load flow studiesCoordinate with civil, structural, transmission line, and protection engineering teamsConduct site visits, field assessments, and construction support activitiesReview contractor submittals, RFIs, and as-built documentationEnsure compliance with IEEE, NEC, NESC, utility, and client-specific standardsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
