Job Description

As a Superintendent - Construction - Bronx, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all day-to-day field operations on affordable housing projects
  • Supervising subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
  • Coordinating occupied rehabilitation and apartment turnover work
  • Maintaining project schedules and ensuring milestone completion
  • Managing tenant communication and minimizing disruptions during construction
  • Overseeing interior apartment renovations, common area upgrades, and building improvements
  • Conducting quality control inspections throughout all phases of construction
  • Leading daily safety meetings and enforcing OSHA standards
  • Coordinating material deliveries, site logistics, and workforce planning
  • Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
  • Managing inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities
  • Identifying and resolving field issues proactively
  • Maintaining daily reports, schedules, and project documentation

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience within construction
  • Experience with affordable housing, multifamily renovation, or residential construction projects
  • Occupied rehabilitation experience is required
  • Strong experience managing interior renovation projects
  • Experience with apartment renovations, unit turnovers, common area renovations, and building upgrades preferred
  • Ground-up multifamily or affordable housing experience is a plus
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and maintain project schedules
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and occupied-building logistics
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
  • Excellent communication and tenant-relations skills
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred
