Job Description

The Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Leading all on‑site construction activities from pre‑construction through project close‑out
  • Maintaining full responsibility for schedule adherence, site logistics, and daily coordination
  • Enforcing safety standards, conducting toolbox talks, and upholding a zero‑incident culture
  • Coordinating subcontractors, inspectors, and internal project teams
  • Ensuring work is executed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards
  • Driving look‑ahead planning and proactive problem solving on active projects
  • Participating in project meetings and communicating progress to project leadership
  • Supporting commissioning, punch list completion, and turnover processes

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
  • Background delivering renovations, tenant improvements, and/or ground‑up builds
  • Experience in healthcare, education, life sciences, or institutional markets preferred
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, means and methods, and MEP coordination
  • OSHA certification and a demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across active, occupied, or complex sites
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland
