We are representing a rapidly expanding General Contractor seeking a Superintendent to join their team on fast-paced, high-visibility projects. This role will initially support a project in West Babylon, NY, with future work across the Greater Hartford area.

Our client is a well-established General Contractor , specialising in Retail, Medical, Office, Education, and Restaurant sectors. They are licensed across multiple states including CT, MA, NH, NJ, PA, RI, and VT, and are actively growing their footprint throughout New England. Their client portfolio includes recognised brands within retail and healthcare, and they have a strong pipeline of upcoming work.

Job Description

This position will play a key role in delivering "quick-hitter" projects, typically 14-16 weeks in duration and ranging from $500K-$1M in value.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day on-site construction operations
  • Manage subcontractors, schedules, and site logistics
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Maintain a strong on-site safety culture and compliance with regulations
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, clients, and stakeholders
  • Provide hands-on support where required to keep projects on track
  • Conduct regular site meetings and progress reporting
  • Troubleshoot field issues and drive solutions in real time

The Successful Applicant

  • 4-5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role
  • Strong preference for retail construction project experience
  • Proven ability to deliver fast-paced, short-duration projects
  • Hands-on, proactive leadership style
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to travel/commute to West Babylon, NY (initial project)
  • Flexibility for future projects in the Greater Hartford area
