About Our Client

We're partnering with a growing engineering team supporting major transmission expansion and grid modernization efforts across Nevada. This group is heavily involved in new line builds, system upgrades, and renewable integration projects tied to long-term infrastructure investment.

Job Description

  • Perform transmission line design using tools like PLS-CADD (or similar)
  • Develop structure loading, sag & tension calculations
  • Support route selection and permitting considerations
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Assist with construction support and design modifications as needed



What You'll Be Working On

  • New high-voltage transmission line design (typically 230kV-500kV+)
  • Routing and alignment for long-distance transmission corridors
  • Line rebuilds, reconductoring, and system capacity upgrades
  • Supporting renewable energy interconnections (solar, storage, etc.)
  • Collaborating with civil, structural, and substation teams on full project lifecycle
  • Contributing to projects tied to rapid load growth and infrastructure expansion

The Successful Applicant

A successful Transmission Line Engineer (Contract-to-Hire) should have:

  • 3+ years of transmission line engineering experience
  • Experience with high-voltage projects (138kV+)
  • Proficiency with PLS-CADD or similar design tools
  • Strong understanding of transmission design standards and utilities work
  • EIT or PE is a plus (not required for all levels)
