Job Description

Support the engineering and design of overhead transmission line projects from conceptual design through construction.
Assist with:
- PLS-CADD modeling
- Sag and tension calculations
- Structure spotting and profiling
- Conductor and shield wire selection
- Foundation loading calculations
Prepare engineering deliverables including:
- Plan and profile drawings
- Stringing charts
- Bill of materials
- Construction packages
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including civil, geotechnical, environmental, and substation groups.
Support design reviews and quality assurance activities.
Ensure compliance with utility standards, NESC requirements, and project specifications.
Participate in client meetings and project coordination calls.
Provide limited field and construction support as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Transmission Line Engineer II should have:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
3-4 years of transmission line engineering experience.
Experience with 230kV+ transmission projects.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
Exposure to high-voltage transmission projects preferred.
Familiarity with:
- PLS-CADD
- AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Microsoft Office Suite
Understanding of transmission line engineering principles and industry standards.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
