Based in Houston, we offer deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure.

Job Description

Responsibilities may include the following:

  • Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.
  • Mentor and train less experienced design team members.
  • Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
  • Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and formats.
  • Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations, drawing preparation, and transmission line models based in PLS-CADD

The Successful Applicant

We are seeking the following qualifications:

  • 4+ Years of progressive overhead transmission engineering experience.
  • Technically proficient to QA/QC a wide variety of T-Line project submittals before packages are sent to clients.
  • S. degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Experience with Civil/Structural Transmission Line disciplines (Steel Pole Design, Foundation Design.)
  • Tower Design w/ PLS-TOWER not required, but a plus.
  • Experience in 12kV to 500kV line design and working knowledge and/or expertise in Power Line Systems software suite (i.e., PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, TOWER, etc.) required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus, or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of start date.
