Job Description

The Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer will report into Quality leadership and work closely with project management, fabrication teams, field operations, and subcontractors. This role will be responsible for maintaining quality standards throughout mechanical construction and fabrication activities.

  • Perform inspections of piping systems, welds, HVAC equipment, and mechanical installations to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Review technical drawings, fabrication documentation, and inspection reports to ensure quality requirements are achieved.
  • Coordinate third-party inspections and testing activities throughout fabrication and installation phases.
  • Document non-conformance issues, recommend corrective actions, and track resolutions through completion.
  • Maintain detailed quality records, inspection reports, testing documentation, and project quality metrics.
  • Partner with project teams, shop leadership, field personnel, and subcontractors to proactively resolve quality concerns.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives while promoting a strong safety-first culture across all project activities.

The Successful Applicant

For the Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer we are seeking:

  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven quality assurance, quality control, or inspection experience within mechanical construction, piping, fabrication, or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction codes, welding standards, mechanical systems, and piping drawings.
  • Experience conducting inspections, quality audits, testing reviews, and non-conformance investigations.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Trimble, and related construction software platforms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence project stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
