The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the quality control program for federal construction projects. This role involves ensuring that all construction activities comply with federal regulations, contractual obligations, and industry standards. The QC Manager will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained throughout the project life cycle.

Job Description

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific quality control plan in compliance with federal standards and project requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Manage the documentation and reporting of quality control activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
  • Oversee and conduct inspections of materials, workmanship, and completed work to verify conformance with project specifications.
  • Coordinate and manage third-party testing and inspection services as required.
  • Review and approve test results and inspection reports.

The Successful Applicant

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management OR a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of construction experience OR have an associate's degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience.
  • Must have working knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures and practices.
  • CQM Certification is highly preferred
  • QC certificate from the Corp of Engineers is highly preferred
  • RS Means or Procore experience is preferred
  • Experience with government clients is highly preferred
