Our client is hiring an Area Sales Director / Senior Sales Representative to own and build the Ohio and Pennsylvania region. This is a hands‑on, individual contributor role with director‑level scope, designed for someone who wants to create impact from the ground up; you will play a key role in shaping how the territory is built, how surgeon adoption is driven, and how the region scales over time.

Job Description

  • Execute regional sales plans for lumbar and cervical (ACDF) 3D-printed interbody fusion cages, achieving revenue and surgeon adoption targets.
  • Develop strong relationships with spine surgeons, providing in-OR case support for ACDF and lumbar fusion procedures.
  • Expand and manage local distributor networks; deliver product training and sales enablement for ACDF and lumbar cage systems.
  • Identify, target, and convert key accounts across hospitals, ASCs, IDNs, and other spine care facilities.
  • Communicate product advantages-including stiffness matching, porosity-driven bone ingrowth, and 3D-printed structural performance-based on surgeon needs and clinical scenarios.
  • Participate in regional and national academic conferences, cadaver labs, and clinical training events to increase product visibility.
  • Monitor competitive dynamics (PEEK, titanium, 3D-printed offerings) and provide structured insights to the commercial team.
  • Coordinate order fulfillment, contracting, and after-sales service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare timely sales reports, forecasts, and account plans.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; life sciences, biomedical engineering, or related disciplines a plus.
  • Minimum 5-10 years in spine implant sales. Has proven experience in spine implant sales (cervical and/or lumbar) and is comfortable selling clinically complex products in the OR.
  • Brings existing relationships with spine surgeons or distributors in Ohio and/or Pennsylvania and can speak confidently about those relationships.
  • Thrives in a build‑from‑scratch environment and is energized by creating something rather than inheriting an established book.
  • Is highly autonomous, disciplined, and comfortable working without heavy structure or oversight.
  • Comfortable providing OR support for ACDF and lumbar fusion and educating surgeons on implant selection.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and experience with 3D-printed devices is a plus but not required.



What's on Offer

  • Competitive base salary (up to $120K) plus uncapped commission, with accelerated commission kickers beyond $500K in sales, milestone bonuses, and a sign‑on bonus for experienced candidates.
  • Targetted OTE of ~210k-300k in year one
