Job Description

  • Collaborate with practice leaders to develop and implement business development strategies for corporate practices
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights
  • Manage and coordinate the preparation of proposals, pitches, and client presentations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Lead team of direct reports, providing coaching and development to junior team members
  • Oversee and analyze the performance of business development initiatives to ensure goals are met
  • Provide strategic guidance on marketing campaigns and branding efforts for the department
  • Support cross-departmental collaboration to ensure alignment with broader organizational goals
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on business development strategies and market positioning

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field; a secondary degree is preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in legal industry including relevant practice group experience with Corporate groups (ie. M&A, Private Equity, Capital Markets, EC/VC)
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience; this role manages a team of multiple direct reports across multiple offices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner
  • Ability to engage credibly and effectively with partners internationally
  • Skilled professional to manage deadlines, shifting priorities, and maintain composure to work under pressure
  • Capable of working in a diverse team environment and effectively support the demanding needs of the Firm
