Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Projects - DC Metro will:

  • Support the Project Manager across multiple active projects from preconstruction through close‑out
  • Manage document control including submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project logs
  • Lead portions of OAC meetings and coordinate communication with owners, architects, and consultants
  • Draft and track change orders, cost proposals, and budget updates
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors-proactively picking up the phone to resolve issues
  • Assist with schedule updates, progress tracking, and field coordination
  • Track project costs, follow financials, and support monthly reporting
  • Utilize Procore daily to manage project workflows and documentation
  • Support estimating efforts and pricing exercises as needed

The Successful Applicant

The Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Projects - DC Metro will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer
  • Strong proficiency with Procore and construction document control processes
  • Exposure to financial tracking, change management, and project estimating
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
  • Willingness to work fully in‑office in Washington, DC
