Our Client is a healthcare-products company that manufactures and distributes medical, wound-care, and hygiene supplies. Founded over 65 years ago, the company serves hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and home-care markets with products such as gauze, bandages, antiseptics, surgical gloves, syringes, sutures, disposable medical apparel, and other healthcare consumables.

Job Description

Account Management

  • Defend and grow revenue with existing distributor accounts: Mckesson, Medline, Henry Schein, Cardinal Health, Dynarex, Convatec, O&M Gentell, WynnMed, Convatec, BD, De-Vita, Fresenius, LSL, and others
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at buyer and category manager level
  • Business negotiator that "close deals", and can fight for quality vs price.



New Business Development

  • Identify and convert new product line opportunities within existing distributor accounts
  • Develop private label proposals from the ground up: specifications, packaging, MOQs, and pricing
  • Expand category presence across wound care, infection control, and general medical supplies



RFPs & Bid Management

  • Lead end-to-end response to distributor and GPO RFPs
  • Coordinate internally with operations, supply chain, and product teams to structure competitive offers



Samples & Product Approvals

  • Manage the product sampling process with customers
  • Track approvals through to purchase order confirmation



Pipeline & Reporting

  • Maintain an updated and accurate sales pipeline
  • Report progress against targets on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Flag revenue and price / profitability risks early with enough lead time to course-correct

The Successful Applicant

Experience - Non-Negotiable

  • 5-10 years of medical product sales experience in the US market
  • Direct, verifiable experience selling to Mckesson, Medline, Henry Schein, Owens and Minors or Cardinal Health -candidates without this will not be considered
  • Track record managing large, complex accounts with long sales cycles
  • Experience handling RFPs and bid processes with national distributors
  • Private label medical experience is a strong differentiator
  • Ability to travel nationally
