My client is a family‑owned and operated general contractor with over 15 years of consistent growth and a strong reputation across Connecticut. They prioritise their people and culture, treat subcontractors exceptionally well, and maintain a healthy project pipeline (currently 18+ months). Their portfolio spans commercial, academic, healthcare, retail and multifamily projects, with values ranging from $10M to $30M, and they are actively involved in local charities.

Job Description

  • Manage ground‑up and renovation projects valued at $10M-$30M across Connecticut
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution from pre‑construction through close‑out
  • Coordinate internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery
  • Maintain strong on‑site presence and enforce quality, safety, and compliance standards
  • Utilise modern construction software and technology for reporting, scheduling, and documentation
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with owners, architects, and trade partners
  • Proactively identify risks and drive solutions with a "go‑getter" mindset

The Successful Applicant

  • 6+ years of Project Management experience delivering $10M+ commercial and/or multifamily projects
  • Background with a general contractor (not owner's rep/developer or MEP/subcontractor‑heavy experience)
  • Strong technical and software proficiency (tech‑savvy is a must)
  • Stable employment history with clear reasons for past moves; references required
  • Team‑oriented, hardworking, and proactive personality
  • Ability to commute daily to Hartford, CT, and to Fairfield County at least once per week
  • Willingness to work in‑person, five days per week
