We are seeking an experienced SCA Construction Project Manager to oversee School Construction Authority (SCA) projects throughout Manhattan. This role will be responsible for managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate has strong experience managing public-sector construction projects.

Job Description

As SCA Construction Project Manager, you will:

  • Manage multiple SCA construction projects from start to finish
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and contract administration
  • Coordinate with SCA representatives, architects, consultants, and field teams
  • Monitor project costs, change orders, RFIs, and submittals
  • Ensure compliance with SCA standards and project specifications
  • Conduct regular project meetings and provide progress updates
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and schedule impacts
  • Support closeout activities, punch lists, and final documentation
  • Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and performance standards

The Successful Applicant

A successful SCA Construction Project Manager candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in construction
  • Experience managing SCA or public-sector projects
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, and cost controls
  • Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract administration
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project preferred
