My client is seeking a Senior Grant Accountant to manage grant-related accounting, financial reporting, and compliance activities. This role will partner with program and finance teams to ensure accurate tracking of grant funding and adherence to donor and regulatory requirements.

Job Description

  • Manage accounting and reporting for government, foundation, and private grants.
  • Monitor grant budgets and expenditures to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare grant billings, reimbursements, and financial reports.
  • Reconcile grant activity and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Assist with month-end close, audits, and annual budgeting processes.
  • Partner with program managers on grant spending and financial performance.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including nonprofit grant accounting.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit accounting and grant compliance.
  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
  • Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
  • Experience with NYC, NYS, and federal grants.
  • Knowledge of Uniform Guidance and Single Audits.
