An experienced Superintendent is needed to lead ground-up commercial / K-12 projects across Northern Virginia, overseeing all on-site operations from start through completion. This role partners closely with project managers, owners, and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery.

Job Description

The Superintendent in Northern Virginia will be responsible for:

  • Managing day-to-day on-site construction operations for commercial projects
  • Interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
  • Conducting constructability reviews and maintaining detailed daily reports
  • Overseeing quality control processes and ensuring project standards are met
  • Coordinating scheduling of labor, materials, and subcontractors
  • Enforcing and upholding jobsite health and safety requirements
  • Collaborating with project managers, owners, architects, and stakeholders
  • Tracking progress and proactively resolving site issues to maintain timelines

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent in Northern Virginia should have:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Superintendent with a general contractor
  • Proven background delivering ground-up commercial projects
  • Experience within K-12, municipal, or government projects preferred
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification required
  • Strong ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and related construction tools
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
