Job Description



  • Work closely with department leadership to develop, maintain, and forecast program budgets, ensuring financial plans support both current operations and long-term objectives.


  • Evaluate financial results and spending activity, identify budget variances and trends, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and resource allocation.


  • Coordinate with finance and program teams to oversee expense tracking, reimbursement processes, and compliance with city, state, and funding source requirements.


  • Assist with the financial planning and budgeting needs of new programs, grants, and funding opportunities, including the preparation of supporting documentation and submissions.


  • Prepare financial reports, support special projects, and contribute to ongoing budgeting, forecasting, and operational initiatives across the organization.

The Successful Applicant



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.


  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience within a nonprofit or social services organization, with exposure to government-funded programs and financial reporting requirements.


  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, compliance, internal controls, and budget-to-actual reporting, with the ability to identify variances and support financial planning efforts.


  • Ability to interpret and apply financial concepts, perform quantitative analysis, and work with financial data to support decision-making.


  • Hands-on experience with accounting and financial management systems, such as Sage Intacct, Financial Edge, or similar ERP platforms.


  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including Pivot Tables, reporting tools, and data analysis functions, as well as Word and PowerPoint.
