You'll have the opportunity to engage with leadership, participate in labor relations activities, support a unionized workforce, and influence key people decisions that directly affect business performance.Prior union experience with strong labor relations experience is required.Job DescriptionServe as the primary HR Business Partner for a unionized manufacturing facility, supporting both employees and operational leadershipPartner closely with plant managers and supervisors to address employee relations, performance, attendance, and workplace concernsManage and conduct workplace investigations, documenting findings and recommending appropriate actionsSupport disciplinary processes, corrective actions, and policy administrationParticipate in grievance meetings and collaborate with union representatives on labor relations mattersProvide guidance on collective bargaining agreement interpretation and contract-related questionsCoach leaders on employee management, conflict resolution, and best HR practicesSupport workers' compensation, leave administration, and return-to-work processesMaintain a strong presence on the plant floor, building relationships with employees across all shiftsSupport engagement, retention, and workforce initiatives within the plantProvide regular third-shift coverage to ensure HR visibility and support across the facility's 24/7 operationMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
