Job Description

* Lead institutional fundraising efforts focused on foundation, corporate foundation, and government support
* Develop and manage a pipeline of new and existing institutional funding opportunities
* Write, prepare, and manage high-quality grant proposals, reports, and stewardship materials
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with institutional funders and external stakeholders
* Identify and pursue new funding sources aligned with organizational initiatives and strategic priorities
* Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to develop compelling funding opportunities and narratives
* Track and manage grant activity, timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements
* Present funding initiatives and pipeline updates to senior leadership as needed
* Support strategic fundraising planning and institutional giving growth initiatives
* Represent the organization at meetings, events, and donor-facing opportunities as appropriate
* Manage and mentor junior team members while helping maintain efficient development operations

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be a hands-on institutional fundraising leader with significant experience managing foundation, corporate foundation, and government funding relationships from cultivation through stewardship. They will be an exceptional writer and communicator who is highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable in a fast-moving environment, and confident interacting with senior leadership, funders, and external stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will come from cultural institutions, museums, performing arts organizations, media-related nonprofits, or similarly mission-driven organizations, and will have a demonstrated track record of personally managing high-volume grant portfolios and securing significant institutional support.
