This temporary role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently in a law firm environment. This role will be located on-site in Downtown DC.

Job Description

  • Handle, sort, distribute, and coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, packages, courier services, and internal office deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Manage office supply inventory, stock supply rooms, and coordinate ordering to ensure adequate availability of stationery and office materials.
  • Provide administrative and office services support, including photocopying, scanning, binding, filing, and processing copy requests.
  • Set up, maintain, and monitor conference rooms, meeting spaces, and visitor offices, including audiovisual equipment, supplies, maintenance, and inventory.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external telephone, email, and office service inquiries, ensuring all requests are addressed efficiently.
  • Coordinate facilities requests, work orders, maintenance repairs, HVAC adjustments, cleaning requests, office moves, transfers, new hires, and departures with vendors, building management, and service providers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment while assisting with the movement of small furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Support special projects, office events, and day-to-day operational needs of the office team.
  • Assist with monitoring office security by alerting office administration and building security of unidentified or suspicious individuals when necessary.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage daily office operations effectively.
  • Proficiency in using office equipment, such as copiers, scanners, and printers.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a professional work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and vendors.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with basic office software, including word processing and email tools.
  • Ability to lift, walk, stand within the office.
  • Ability to work in-office Monday through Friday, 9:30am-5:30pm. OT as needed.
