Job Description

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the project team and the client, acting as the main representative throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop, implement, and adjust project execution plans to meet client expectations and performance goals
  • Identify resource needs and assign responsibilities across the project team
  • Oversee and coordinate daily project activities to ensure smooth execution
  • Review and approve all deliverables prior to release to the client
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Monitor project transactions and report discrepancies on a regular basis
  • Review and approve invoices within established turnaround timelines
  • Manage resource planning and allocation for assigned projects
  • Track and control project budgets and schedules
  • Act as the single point of contact for the client, ensuring timely and effective communication
  • Lead and coordinate a team of Project Managers and/or Project Engineers
  • Implement change management processes and ensure compliance with related procedures
  • Promote and uphold safety and quality standards across the project
  • Review and approve subcontractor contracts and invoices
  • Direct overall project execution from initiation through completion
  • Participate in functional groups or execution teams as needed
  • Apply knowledge of business development and sales processes to project execution
  • Coordinate across multiple disciplines, including procurement and construction
  • Recognize team contributions and maximize individual and team performance
  • Foster collaboration, efficiency, and strong team dynamics
  • Capture lessons learned and share insights to support continuous improvement
  • Address team conflicts and communication challenges proactively
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions
  • Lead or contribute to internal initiatives and cross-functional task forces
  • Analyze project performance, including profitability, revenue, margins, utilization, and efficiency

The Successful Applicant

A successful Sr. Project Manager - Power Delivery should have:

  • Associate's degree with significant relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with several years of related experience required
  • Preferred qualifications include Engineering degree, MBA, PMP certification, or PE license
  • Proven experience in project engineering or project management roles
  • Experience leading large, multi-discipline projects is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of cost estimating and cost control practices
  • Strong verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to groups
  • Understanding of multi-discipline project deliverables
  • Solid financial management and budgeting experience
  • Ability to interpret revenue models, profit and loss statements, and cost projections
  • Understanding of pricing structures and billing processes
  • Demonstrated ability to forecast revenue, margins, utilization, and overall project performance
