PageGroup understands the importance of ensuring our working environment is a comfortable and happy one. We recognize and appreciate that every individual is different and want to make sure our people are comfortable bringing their true selves to work.
As well as embracing our values, we encourage an environment where everyone gets involved in our corporate responsibility.
Below are some of our recent diversity and inclusion events.

Partnering with Houston Food Bank

The Houston Food Bank is a solution to both hunger and food waste. America’s largest and nationally recognized as Feeding America’s Food Bank of the Year in 2015, the Food Bank distributes 122 million nutritious meals through its network of 1,500 community partners in southeast Texas, feeding 800,000 individuals each year.
Page Group volunteered with the Houston Food Bank in October of 2018, and not only helped serve our community through a great organization but assisted sorting through 251,174 pounds of meat.

Pride @ Page

A workplace for people of all sexual and gender identities

In 2015 we launched Pride@Page, supporting our LGBT+ employees, recognizing that people perform better when they can be themselves. Through Pride@Page we have:
  • Been named a Stonewall Top 100 Employer 2018
  • Became the first recruitment company to be a Stonewall Global Diversity Champion
  • Participated in Stonewall "Starting Out Guide"
  • Regularly profiled allies and LGBTQI+ employees
  • Pride@Page Yammer network
  • Appointed senior sponsors and champions
  • Global Pride@Page campaigns each June in support of Pride month

For nearly a decade it seemed that acceptance of people who are LGBTQI+ was at an all-time high. Marriage equality became law of the land. High-profile LGBTQI+ people helped to create visibility for a once ostracized community. Many corporations and businesses went above and beyond to provide protections for LGBTQI+ employees and customers.
But those big wins failed to transform workplace culture for people who are LGBTQI+ and current realities have reminded many that we haven’t reached real inclusion and equality quite yet. For companies that would like to demonstrate their commitment to diversity & inclusion, having visible, vocal, and engaged allies is at the heart of the solution, but becoming an engaged ally isn’t always simple.
In June of 2018, PageGroup partnered with PFLAG to provide employee training to:
  • Understand more about changing LGBTQI+ terminology
  • Learn about who allies are, and what the ally journey looks like
  • Find out the good news about LGBTQI+ acceptance … and the bad news we often miss
  • Talk about the barriers to support allies often encounter
  • Learn about straightforward, everyday actions that can help you overcome barriers, express support, and create change in the workplace

Women@Page

Women succeed at work

In 2012 we launched Women@Page with the aim of improving our gender balance at all levels across our business. Since then, we have:

  • Created Women@Page ‘Yammer’ network
  • Run annual global campaigns to celebrate ‘International Women’s Day’ to profile our successful and inspiring women globally

2018 Statistics:
  • 100% maternity returners
  • 55% of promotions were female
  • 48% of manager and above promotions were female

Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada

For more than 60 years, Heart & Stroke has been dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Their work has saved thousands of lives and improved the lives of millions of others. In June of 2018, PageGroup partnered with Heart and Stroke by riding the Big Bike with 29 Page Group employees. It was a great, fun event that not only helped build team spirit but raise over $3,000 for a wonderful charity.

Partnering with You Alright Mate? for World Mental Health Day

The You Alright Mate? (YAM) global mental healthcare initiative is a program built upon the inspiring tale of community, empathy, recovery and education outreach started by two celebrated mental health campaigners, survivor Jonny Benjamin (MBE) and the man that saved his life from a suicide attempt, Neil Laybourn, of the UK.
They have their sights set on inspiring audiences to join the mental health awareness conversation with the goals of reducing stigmas increasing support in the context of unique mental health experiences, suicide prevention and wellbeing while living with other alternative lifestyles.
Page Group hosted Johnny and Neil in our NYC offices in October 2018 and helped raised funds to fuel their efforts.
