Senior Accountant sought at Professional Services firm in Boston.

Thanks to a recent transaction, the need for a new Senior Accountant has arisen in Boston (hybrid role) to lead the accounting and finance team of a medium sized Tech Professional Services business.

You will oversee the construction project accounting, asset capitalization processes, and provide analytical insights to support strategic business decision-making. Collaborate with cross-discipline departments to ensure accuracy in each project's completion. They are wanting this person to come in and hit the ground running to capitalize on the growth the company is experiencing and to quickly progress their career forward.

I'm partnered on a retained search with the CFO at a rapidly growing, PE backed organization located near Lisle, IL. The PE sponsor has invested large amounts of capital into our client's business and the company is also receiving large grants from the government to continue the immense growth. We placed two individuals last year due to this growth, and as one of those individuals already received a promotion, they are now looking to bring on a Project Costing Accounting Manager.

As the Project Costing Accounting Manager, you will oversee the construction project accounting, asset capitalization processes, and provide analytical insights to support strategic business decision-making. You will also work collaboratively with cross-discipline departments (engineers, project managers, finance, etc) to ensure accuracy in each project's completion. They are wanting this person to come in and hit the ground running to capitalize on the growth the company is experiencing and to quickly progress their career forward.

In this role, you'll perform reconciliations and analyses between the Subledger and General Ledger, support inventory processes, and assist with month-end closing to ensure compliance with SOX controls. You'll also collaborate with auditors, contribute to process improvements, and complete ad hoc financial analysis using various tools like Showcase, SAP, and Excel.

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing and reviewing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. This role also involves managing expense reports, assisting with audits, and identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency within the AP function.

We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to lead our Accounting & Finance department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of business services as well as proven leadership skills.
